TCVB Director's Notes by Mike Sawtelle May 14, 2008                                                      Dear TCVB Family members,   CONGRATULATIONS TCVB!!!!!!!! Treasure Coast Volleyball was recently honored at the USAV Annual Awards Banquet, receiving the award for Most Improved Club in the state of Florida. Stephanie Skidmore was on hand to accept the award as the club with the best overall showing in tournament play as well as the most organized and updated club when posting results, applying for tournaments and having players and coaches registered and signed with the state.  This is a tremendous honor for us considering that we are one of the smallest markets in Florida.  The "lion's share" of the gratitude has to go to Heidi McNabb (club administrator) and Morgan Taylor (club treasurer) for ALL their dedicated and outstanding work they put into TCVB this year. Thank you SO much to all of the coaches who have helped us out by quickly and accurately sending all information needed to make this award possible. We are truly blessed to have such good people working for our Club.  Thank you ALL for making us look so good!!!!!! Humbly and Respectfully,  Coach Sawtelle   IN OTHER NEWS:   Well, we are heading into the final stretch of the season and it has definitely been an eventful one.  At this point in the season we are all gearing for our final push to nationals.  The current rankings show that we have four teams ranked in the top twenty of the state and five more in the top thirty.  That means 9 of our 11 teams are among some of the best in the state and the other two closely behind working hard to break into the upper levels:   16 Blue   = 1st  in the state!          Coaches Wickstrom and Johnson 12 Blue   = 7th in the state           Coaches Jamie and Ed Cyr         15 Blue   = 15th in the state         Coach Skidmore 13 Blue   = 17th in the state         Coach Sawtelle 17 Blue   = 20th in the state         Coach Vinette 14 Black = 20th in the state         Coach May 13 Red   = 26th in the state         Coaches Alder and Blank 12 Red    = 28th in the state         Coach Collin 14 Blue   = 29th in the state         Coach Warren   This an outstanding feat considering we only draw form a very small number of schools compared to the big cities who draw from many schools in their respective areas.  This is a true compliment to our coaching staff who has worked very hard this year to ensure the continued success of Treasure Coast Volleyball. Since the season is winding down, and as families come and go throughout the years in sports, we will have some vacant club positions that need to be filled for the following year.  We want to invite anyone who is interested to step up and fill some club positions that will be vacant.
